Favorite running stores? (Read 79 times)

Wow, I've been neglecting this group, sorry about that! Work has been a bear and really cut into my message board time. How dare it? Tongue

I know there's a good concentration of stores in the Madison area, but I wanted to see if anyone knows some good stores elsewhere along 151. Any in Fond Du Lac, Oshkosh, Appleton area? I'm traveling for work quite a bit along this stretch and sometimes I get those awkward 30-45 minutes to kill.

I've been doing most of my shopping at Berkeley Running Co in Madison, and I absolutely love it. The owner David is a solid guy and incredibly helpful. He e-mailed me about a month after I bought my shoes and asked me how it was going, then proceeded to try to help me work out what was causing my shin splints. Now that's the kind of special attention a new runner really appreciates!

So where else has someone gotten some great service?

I have had a similar experience at Fleet Feet Madison...great people there.

I second the recommendation for Fleet Feet. Nice people, and they treated me really well when I tried a new brand of shoe and it didn't work out.
