First Barefoot Run (Read 145 times)


Beware, batbear...

    1.34 miles. Very easy - 13 min/mi. pace. More of a barefoot jog. However, I did notice that after about a mile, my muscles seemed to recognize what they were doing. There were a couple of gentle inclines in my course and those were much easier than the downhills. My body seemed to really want to slow down going downhill, so I did. Other than that, everything feels good. Knee feels good (I've been resting it for about 10 days). No soreness, other than a little bit on my toes. I'm thinking I'm going to incorporate this short jog into my morning weights routine to build up some toughness in my feet. Oh, and, it's Monday. Undecided

    2014 Goal -- Run 5X per week, pain-free (relatively) by end of summer.
