1st day and I felt very self-conscious: lots of comments.

2nd through 65th? day: lots of stares, but only two or three comments throughout the whole period.

Two days ago when I was having a lousy run and my feet hurt: lots of comments

My theory: people are more likely to comment on how I need to put shoes on if it looks like I'm struggling with running barefoot.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

My teammates will make fun of me for being barefoot no matter how confident I look.  And they'll blame my lack of injuries on my being 10 to 20 years younger than them.

As long as I can beat them, I don't care.  Well, beat most of them...there's a few of those guys I'll have trouble beating when I'm in my 40s/50s and they are in their 60s, I'll wager...
