This place doesn't look too active....Didn't appear to active even approaching 10/10/10 last year.

Regardless....I am planning on running the 2011 Chicago Marathon.  Looking for a place to chat about the race as the months roll by.

I noticed that the registration for the race indeed opens on February 1st:

      Welcome.

Not too much going on here.  You are right, February 1st it is.  It sounds like your first "Chicago" ... let us know if you have any questions as the day approaches.

Welcome to the group!  While there's not a lot of ongoing banter, there are a few race veterans and Chicago residents that monitor the forums periodically and can hopefully offer any needed advice or answer any questions.

Thanks guys....I registered yesterday (at 11:00 PM local time...lol).  I'm excited.

I'm sure when I get closer I'll have questions about logistics and stuff.

          Thanks again for the replies.

I'm registered also, and this will be my fifth Chicago Marathon. I'm currently qualified for the B corral.

It's hard to think about the marathon, however, when there's two feet of snow on the ground!  Smile
