A diabetic in London.... (Read 194 times)

Last week, I had to go to London on business... it was my first trip to Europe and came about rather quickly. (I figured out how to get a passport on short notice -- wow, was that painful.) It was interesting calculating carbs and insulin, though... In the States, I consider myself to be a really good estimator of carbs in foods, but I didn't realize how rarely I have to do this in the US compared to other countries. VERY few of the labels had useful carb. info. and many had none. I didn't have any problems with blood sugars over there, but it helped me appreciate the high percentage of times in the US when I don't need to guess carb counts.
