Uhoh, not good. Sounds like you made it through OK though.....maybe a bit of a diabetes vacation too. I'm totally insulin dependent, so leaving the insulin at home is not an option. Makes me tend to obsess about packing the diabetes supplies. A good outlet for OCD tendencies I guess .
Made it okay but I really didn't enjoy eating as much shooting in the dark regarding the carb intake. Weather was so hot running didn't appeal to me either. The heatwave that moved through the country's mid-section pushed it to high 90s to close to 100 most days we were there. Lesson learned.
