Half Marathon Trainers

HMT 2012 Upcoming Races (Read 1030 times)

    2013 Goals
    1) Break 1:50 in a HM (PR 1:52:19)
    2) Break 4:00 in a Marathon (PR 4:20:39)

      I have just registered for two events:

       

      Sporting Life 10k, Toronto, May 13th.

      Easter Seals 5k, Newmarket, May 27th.

       

      I am not likely to set blazing times for either, but hope to finish in the top 1,500 runners at Sporting Life, and under 47 minutes.

      The 5k I have no idea, it is a tight twisty course with some narrow spots where bridges cross streams, so maybe 24 minutes?

      PBs since age 60:  5k- 24:36, 10k - 47:17. Half Marathon- 1:42:41.

                      I am back.  Have pretty much decided that this year I just can't be bothered with a full marathon.  I know i can run faster than i did last year but this year I am going to do my third half marathon.  I would like to think I can beat my times from 2010 but at this stage I am just gonna look for a solid 1:40.  I really want to get some hiking and trails in this winter and i am therefore not going to marry the road.  If my pace suffers a bit so be it,
