Based on Lu's request and Joe's suggestion....

What do you guys think to this:

http://www.my.calendars.net/ra_hmt/

To add/delete/update you need to use:

username: running

password: ahead

(I can take that off if it's a PITA)

Do folks prefer that to a thread or do we want to keep it all on one site?

Right now the calendar is visible to all with the above link we can make it visible to people with a password only if we want.

One down side - my.calendars.net does not seem overly stable. I got a couple of errors when setting this up but nothing that a page refresh didn't sort out.

2010 Goals
1) 200 lbs by the end of 2010
2) Break 26 minutes in a 5k.
3) Break 53 minutes in a 10k. (PR - 54:43)

My preference is to have a thread.  My recommendation would be to sticky it and have one person make the modifications in the first post.  Requests for changes can be made further down in the thread.

We'd need a volunteer to maintain the list of course.

Run fast sometimes.

Nice Calendar MattJ

Maybe a combination of the two?  Folks can update via the Calendar then "your volunteer" can apply the Calendar updates to a Thread.

My preference also would be a stickied thread. Maybe I'm getting stuck in my RA ways already.

I like the marriage of the two (or is it three) ideas.

  1. Sticky Thread
  2. List of races
  3. Calendar link in the top post
But then I'm an engineer and like to make things complicated...

I'll volunteer to maintain the sticky and update the cal.

Suggestion would be - create a sticky with an Original Post like this:

Would that work... Can we get permission to do that?

cool - except I`m the first post - do you need me to delete it or do something? Or maybe un-sticky this and sticky a new one? I dunno - just want to help keep things nice and clean!

Do you have permissions to clean up this thread (i.e. delete all duplicate posts?)

is your Turkey Trot really on the day before Thanksgiving?
