ohhh I guess I forgot to put in my" Rhody Run 12K" on May 20

and my local "Memorial Day 10K" on May 28 for the next weekend. I'll go update the race calendar thread.

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.

Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.

Was definitely fun. 5 second PR, with 17:46, and 3 overall which was cool.

Learned some things too - went out a bit wildly ambitious in the first half mile. Hung on though. Good times.

Come all you no-hopers, you jokers and rogues

Reporting in on my 12K race today. My recent speed workouts (such as they are) seem to be helping. I came in a full minute faster than last year. It could have been more, but I was stricken with a major side ache in the last couple miles. Still I'm pleased with my finish time (1:08:51) and motivated to work towards a faster time for next year.

Thanks Vegefrog. Gotta say though, it all starts with imagining. A few years ago, I might have laughed if you told me I could run these times. Then, running a little more, then a lot more, the imagination starts to get a little bolder. So whatever crazy time is in the way far back of your imagination, let it come up to front.
