Training for week of January 21 (Read 193 times)

    What a good week for me 29.9 miles which does not include pre or post run warm-up walks. Averaging 30 miles per week for last 5 weeks. Still 13 weeks until my half so it looks like I'll have no problem getting enough miles. Smile 12 miles today which included several good sized hills, it went slower than I wanted 10:08 pace. I wanted 10:00 mm going out and 9:30 mm coming back but had some pain and stiffness in right femer head slowed me down. Hopefully the stiffness can be worked out soon. Time to get serious about stretching again. It seems like pushing through the snow takes more effort but maybe it will payoff when Spring arrives. Big grin

    Courage ! Do one brave thing today...then run like hell.

      Great week Sarge! I did 27.4 this past week. I'm planning 30 miles for the current week. My HM is in 5 weeks. My long run run yesterday did not feel good for the first 4 miles..... and it was only 8.4 miles. Jason
        Good work, Rick and Jason. I am just getting back into my routine after a layoff due to a heel injury, but building up to similar miles, about 27 this week. My long run was 12.9 this week, about 2 hours. Jason, I am planning to run Sporting Life, may see you there. Simon.

        PBs since age 60:  5k- 24:36, 10k - 47:17. Half Marathon- 1:42:41.
