My blog is JT Running DC. It's awesome.
Good morning friends! Racers - good luck today! I'll be sending good running vibes your way today.
I'll be doing 6ish with my running club. I missed running with them last week and didn't get to hear race reports from our Boston runners, so I'm really excited to hang out with the group afterwards to catch up.
Finished! At IHOP with the family now. 1:44:20. Race report later.
Good luck marathoners!

ImNotScott- Congrats on a fine race & I can't wait to read your RR!
Julia1971- I hope you had a great morning 6 with the running club and some fun conversations afterwards.
I got in my 10 this morning with a couple of RPs and it was a beautiful morning for a run. Sun was up and starting temperature was about 46 - just cool enough for arm warmers. I can't wait til this evening because there should be a whole bunch of great RR to read through.
Train smart ... race smarter.
Julia: Hope you had a nice 6 with your club.
Scott: Congrats on the awesome race! Can't wait to read the RR later.
Bruce: Nice 10 this morning.
I will finally head out fairly soon for my 12. Wanted to wait a while to let things dry up just a bit, since some parts of my route would have been pretty flooded with the amount of rain we had. There's more on the way, though, so I need to get out there. I don't mind running in the rain a lot of the time, but with fewer pairs of shoes in my rotation right now, the fun of slogging through 4-5 inch deep puddles can wear off after a while.
Go marathoners!! Can't wait to read the RRs!

I had a nice, leisurely run with the club and then hung out for an hour or so after. I didn't get any Boston race reports, though. I guess those runners are still recouperating. I did hit the LRS for another pair of shoes, some Nuun, and a reflective vest for the Ragnar run I'm doing in June. Now, I figure out lunch.
My project of the weekend has been going through my iTunes library and changing the year for songs to make sure they're somewhat accurate. For example, the "best of" albums list the year the album came out and not the year each song was released. It's been tedious but in the end, I'm hoping I can finally just play 80s pop songs or 70s soul music. This is important, people! LOL!
And, I'm ready for some race reports...
Scott, Congratulations! If your signature is correct, that's a HUUUUUGE PR for you. Wow!
Bruce, Glad it was nice where you are. It was a little cloudy here but perfect running weather. I was kinda wishing I'd run long today instead but...
Swift, Hope you had a dry run.
9 miles of hill repeats. the weather was(and still is) gorgeous. tan lines are becoming even more defined.

Feb 17 - Austin Half Marathon
March 2 - Woodlands Marathon
Julia: Glad you had a nice run with the club.
CC: That's a lot of hill repeats.
My 12 were good, we actually had unexpectedly gorgeous weather by just after noon when I finally headed out. Ran the last 3 at MPish or a little under, including a pretty big hill in the last mile. Not too bad considering I ended up with 54 miles this week (plus did lunges and squats in my weight workout yesterday). My legs are still a mess from the poison ivy (or whichever poison plant it was). Yuck! Guess I need to get more (store-brand) Benadryl.
Hi all! I had a pretty good race, even though I didn't quite hit my goal - 2:42:33, 6 overall and 1st ag. I got a cool plaque for my ag. The course turned into the wind at 19 and that and some mild cramping gave me a 3:30 positive split. But, not a bad race considering. RR later.
jack: Congrats!!! That's an incredible time!! 6th OA and 1st AG is awesome!! Great job, especially with the wind and cramping!!!
Jack, I'm sorry you're disappointed but I'm doing fist pumps for you! That's a fantastic time and placement. Can't wait to hear more about the race later.
first time on here all day and I am fighting sleep...busy day working around the house
jack and scott--glad you had good races
8 done this afternoon. I'll do 6 Tuesday....4 Thursday and 2 Saturday.
