        Good morning, Scott.  Happy doubling!


        I'm going to do a short run of undetermined length before rushing off to work.  After work, I'm heading to the "prep rally" for Nike Women's Half,  Their advertisement says there will be "Nuun-tinis" and you know I have to try that.  Smile  And maybe happy hour after that.  Busy day.  Gonna start it with coffee...

        Be proud, but never satisfied. - Unknown.

            Good morning dailies!


            I have packing and cleaning and other to-do things that will more than fill my day yet here I sit on the computer obsessing over my Boston strategy.  We are in the middle of an ice storm, so my dress rehearsal run will have to be taken inside to the treadmill today. Angry



            Julia Nunn-tinis?  That's hilarious!


            Scott  enjoy your double- I miss any kind of mileage right now so I am jealous!


            Docket hope you have a good day and a nice recovery run.



            Off to clean the house (right after I get done looking at my pace band one more time....)

              Did 6 easy after work yesterday.  We've got serious rain moving in today, so I swapped workouts with tomorrow.  So, just another easy 6 today on the treadmill and tomorrow will be 12 with 8 at MP.

                Have had no real computer time over the past few days.  Took two days off from running and did 4 this morning with no soreness or pain.  My throat is a little sore, however.  Go figure!  I run mostly outside all winter with no issues and now this.  It's not going to slow me down.


                Work won't let me breathe.  Both DW and I continue to have medical appointments, dog gave us a bit of a health scare last night, this morning the propane stove wouldn't stay lit to help warm the house, and yesterday found out we need a new washer.  I will never buy a front loader again.  The repairman said the average lifespan of those is about five years and guess how old ours is?  Back to a cheaper top load washer for us.  As a result we have about eight loads of clothes to wash and I need to pack because we leave Saturday.


                Maybe tonight I can get caught up on the activity around here.

                    Damaris - Enjoy the recovery miles tonight.  I am learning to enjoy the recovery runs more and more.


                    JenRosie - I hope your TM run went well. I'm sure you are a big ball of stress getting ready for the race. Taper really can be cruel.  Hang in there and enjoy the insanity!


                    RVD - Thanks for helping me decide on my Saturday morning workout.  12 with 8 at MP sounds great.  Enjoy your runs today and tomorrow!


                    Marco - I'm sorry you have so much stuff falling on you at once.  Hopefully you can take all out on the course at Boston and walk away with a nice PR.  Travel safe!


                    SIAR - I'm sorry that the last week or so has been so rough.  For what its worth, I have the utmost confidence in you.  Your training this cycle has been something to behold and I really mean that.  Have a good time pacing on Sunday and come back prepared to kick ass in a couple weeks!

                      I ended up doing 5.5. My legs aren't feeling great but I still signed up for the 5K tomorrow... I can' t wait for 7:00 when I can start pounding Nuun-tinis!

                      RVD, I see Eric solved the shoe bug. In my case, I think I was just confused.

                          Hey everyone. I've been icing on and off all day..still dealing with this knee stiffness. I'm starting to feel better mentally at least.


                          Scott...thanks! I'm working on just trusting that I'm gonna be okay, and I think I'm moving in the right direction again. Enjoy that double.

                            I overslept this morning and thought it was going to be an URD, but was able to get in 5.1 after work.

                              Hi, guys.  I ended up taking my SRD today.  I realized I've run for 16 days straight.  I needed the break.


                              Scott, if you read this, can you change the title of my 5K to SunSmart 5K instead?  I screwed up the name, ha.


                              Having said that, at 7:30am the day of my race, temps will be at 84F and 97% humidity.Shocked

                                Nuun-tinis were a little strong so I switched to Pom Wonderful cocktails. I'm hydrated and... What does pomegranate do? Anyway, I'm going to sleep well tonight. Smile
