It's official, I signed up for the race this morning and I printed off my confirmation, so I guess I'm runninng. I wanted to save the $5 before May 1st - what can I say I'm a cheap accountant!
Now that the hard part is over (signing up) all I have to do is run 40-50 miles for the next 5 months. At least it will be warm outside.

Sounds good! It will be fun to possibly meet some RA people. There's a couple running Green Bay, so I may get the chance to see some folks there too.

Yep, I'm really excited to start meeting people. Rick and Mike "Q" should both be at a race I'm doing in 2 weeks...I think Cory/Corland and a few other peeps, as well. I'm really geeked! |

| I signed up for this race today (was really questioning Milwaukee or Mpls which are the same day and I live on the marathon route in Mpls), but could not miss a chance to run Milwaukee. I'm super excited. I'm not sure how to be "geeked", but I'm willing to try. |

I haven't run it. Something new is so much more exciting than something familiar. Looks like this is your first marathon? Your marathon plan on the other post looks solid. |

Yup, my first. I had wanted to run Grand Rapids, but DH will be doing a JDRF benefit ride in Death Valley that weekend, so my second choice was Milwaukee. Will be nice, since my family is mostly in WI or the Chicago area. |

Hi Jeff and welcome to the group. I've never run the Lakefront either, but from what I heard, it seems like its a well organized race.
One day I have to run a race outside of WI because I've only done marathons within 100 miles of my house. It would probably be a blast to travel to a race.
Next year I'm thinking of running the inaugural marathon in La Crosse, WI in May 2009. |

La Crosse? hmmmm. that sounds like a lot of fun too. Good time of year as well. |
