Have you noticed the stir you have created out on the main boards? Wow, nice mileage this month. I have run 1/4 that and it's been kinda rough (at least for my right knee, anyhow). I am in awe. You're a machine!

hey zoom,
I just saw it. I'm not sure what to respond. kind of got thrown out there without any warning.
It is easy to run miles when you are not injured. keep perservering and it'll get better. I'm sure of it.

Thanks! Maybe not 600 miles in a month (I am so slow that I'd have to run 3-4 hours/day to go that distance...wowsers!), but 200 sure would be sweet. Someday I would like to run 2k for the year, even if I don't dwell in the Swamp to get there.

the swamp would be the worst place to dwell. 200 is coming. there will be a leap.

yes, i am. i'm running it as a training run, however, and saving my legs for the CDC 1/2 mary the weekend after. i've never been good at "holding back" in races but i need to keep the big picture in mind. my target marathon was the lakefront marathon where i had hoped to make my first serious BQ attempt. since i was out with a stress fracture, my coach wants to see what i can run the 1/2 mary in (hopefully the weather will cooperate!) and then we'll formulate a plan from there.
hes having me hold at 40+ mpw for a few weeks to make sure my durn leg can handle the load before beginning base building and moving on higher.. but i'm itching to go longer!!! big picture, big picture!

Jeff,
I am in awe of you! I just did my longest run to date lastnight...19.1 mi & I was dead last night. Feeling pretty good today though. Great job, Jeff!!
