Anyone in this year? Early registration ends Friday. (although it's only $10 more for late).
I have been planning on doing the half but just haven't committed yet. Training didn't get to where I wanted it to be and I'm not sure if I want to spend $50 to be disappointed...but since this will be my first half at least it'll be a PR.
We've Got Big Hills
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
I am registered for the full. If my right calf cooperates I'm trying to go all out. Of course, it won't. But I hope the weather is agreeable.
Trent, no idea re: the course. As you know, they have not yet posted this year's (official) course on their site.
meh
I like this review:
Weaknesses:It tastes like the dogs butt the first time you try it. By a blessing of nature, the human mind can get used to anything over time... Now I've grown quite fond of it. Actually, its got a mild taste unlike Gatorade or Endurox which may be a good thing during really long events.
"You can't untrain for Monkey" - bdub
I just called the phone number on the website:
Now, if I could only run a half in less than 2 hours.
Onion, what is your all out?
This is a good question. I felt like I had a pretty good summer, but a dismal September due mostly to a nagging calf injury. I expect the next to weeks may be pretty spotty, even considering tapering.
That said, for this race, maybe an 8:30 pace. Start there at the least and see where I am.
If you run both Indy and Louisville, Trent, do you have a goal in mind for Sunday? Is it, I'd guess, a little slower than for your Saturday?
Believe
I have emailed the RD several times and not gotten any response.
I am doing the full and it will be my first marathon. That has been my issue both this year and last. I have e-mailed the RD and have never gotten a response. Last year it was on the supposed course change and this year was something else, but no response.
My back is in spasms right now, but I hoep to be better by race day. Shooting for sub-4 but all I'd really like to do is finish. Good luck to all who run.
