So if I qualify late February I can't run their stupid race?
Even though:
Guaranteed entry applications for qualifiers will be accepted from January 25, 2010 at noon until March 5, 2010 at 11:59 p.m.
To protest this effrontery, I will in protest refuse to run sub 2:55 this year.
So there!
We've Got Big Hills
You can petition.
You know, you can still run the thing if you get in via the lottery.
Better just to run Monkey tho. Monkey will accept a February 2:55
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
meh
I have one last lottery extortion fee to pay before automatic entry.
Yes, I'm going to spend $100 to be allowed to pay $200+ for a freaking marathon entry.
And bdub, you could always qualify for NY and not register in protest, just as you did for Boston 2008.

$100??! It's like $15 to register for the lottery...not cheap, but not 100....I'm in....
...the lottery for 2009, just like 2008. It's too much money, but seems fun as hell.
And for the record, should I get in, I'll be running the Monkey 2 weeks later anyhow.
2012 Goals: Make 2012 my bitch. NYC, Monkey.

You had me at crotch monkey. I'm getting one next year.
Strings - that is the true reason I'm running 2/28 - for an official 2010 boycott. Suck it TA! Haha!

You tell 'em, Trent!
bdub, you can't hold a non-participation protest if they weren't going to let you in in the first place. Boston is full, and NYC will be closed to qualifiers.
You'll have to protest 2011.

You're complicating this and forcing me to change what my definition of a successful Boston boycott is.
I'm invoking the Apple boycott as above for NY. He could 2:55 in 2010 but chooses to thumb his nose at NY. I could have BQ'ed in time to register for Boston but I'm not a part of its system so I'll do what pleases me.
Running 26.2 circles pleases me because my outdoor training runs are merely variations on a one mile loop.

FYI...I'm officially in the Lottery now...
Sucker.
Yeah, I'm game, too.
