      Yes.

      Interesting.

I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.

      Poor baby

Just made the full marathon a tentative goal...haven't spoken to the wife and gathered information from other authoritative sources, but this is definitely on the radar.  I'll have decided before the early registration period ends.

Close enough, flat enough, and, hopefully, not too soon for it to be a reality for my first!

It would be cool to run in an inaugural race.  I may just have to start training again

            Indeed!
Alright, anyone still considering this one?  Looks like I will be in Utah during the KDF, so I'm looking for another April race.
“I used to be a runner. Uh-huh. Not a marathoner. A runner. Marathons are bullshit. They’re all hype. Some official picks a random day, and rain or cold, you’re out there pounding the pavement alongside 50,000 other dumbfucks. No. There’s some things it’s better to do all by yourself.” Augustus Hill, Oz

I'm out.  Have company that weekend so I signed up for KDF instead.

Noticed on their site that if you can get someone to sign up with you,  you can save $5 through Sunday.

I'm out as well.  I e-mailed the RD about the 1/2 course on the website (which was only ~11.6 miles)  and while she said that the course would be measured and certified by race day I have no interest in signing up for a race that is that much off this close the event.  The full was mapped correctly to 26.2, but I was only thinking of running the half.  There is  10-K in Berea that same weekend, which is closer for me anyway.

That's too bad about the half.  I'm still interested, but I have a physical therapy appointment tomorrow to check on a nagging issue [that, of course, seems to be getting better now that I have an appointment to check it out].

My plan is the Triple Crown, SIC Half, and then KDF marathon.

I think I'll register for the full this morning.

Unrelatedly, Trent, are doing Strolling Jim this year?

Thinking about it.  So far, the year is off to a feeble start.  But the Jim is something else and I may have some legs by then.  You?

Definitely considering that one.  If I can get a no-flooding guarantee, definitely.

MTA: Also, do you know anything about he Land Between the Lakes races next month?  In Kentucky, but closer to you than me.  Trail 25k, marathon, 60k and 50 Miler.

Naw, the flooding at the Jim was epic.  And you got a free extra mile.  Win win, I say.

LBL is well loved by loads of people, and while I was hanging out after my 15 mile slog last weekend, everybody was talking about it.  The RD actually ran a sub-7 at LTH, so major respect to him.  The main reason I have not run it is because it is usually the same day as a HM I run in Nashville.  Of course, I might right now be in better 50k shape than I am in HM shape, but a local race is a lot easier on the family.

I did end up doing the LBL trail race this past weekend, but about 22 miles in I switched to the marathon. More than being sick for the last week, I was getting a little bored with the route - multiple trips of the same loop.

Met lots of interesting folks at least.

Buncha folks there from LLTH and from Monkey...how did it compare to LLTH? Wink
