Ugh....still sick!  Can't go 2 minutes without coughing up a lung or two!  So, URD again....bummed!  I hope to be able to run tomorrow, but may not be up to the strength run.  Sorry I am not up for personals, but will catch up later!

      PRs:  5K 22:59, 10K 46:54,HM: 1:51:15

Well I am glad March is over, it was not a good month for me, I finished with only 120 miles. No real reason why I only did 10 last week, I was going quite well for the first three weeks.

Perhaps with 5 weeks to go to my half marathon I will be more focused this month, hope so.

Sprinkles, if it was me I would cut back where the plan says cut back. Personally I would not run the second 18 miler between two 20s.

Too high a work load in my non-expert view!

        PBs since age 60:  5k- 24:36, 10k - 47:17. Half Marathon- 1:42:41.

                                            10 miles (unofficial) 1:16:44.

mdawg - Still have about 6 weeks until the trees start budding here, favorite time of the year

onemile - with your 280 miles in march, I wouldn't worry about your LR's.  You are going to kill it.  Same as indi and most around here i'm sure, I wish my training log looked like yours

roll - love the pic, lol

Amik - sorry about missing the run.  Hope you feel better soon.

indi - your're going to do great

cbus - I get the whole congested thing.  I'm finally feeling better but it just wont go away

now that it's settled in a bit that I'm not going to race my may marathon it doesn't feel too bad.  Still don't feel like running today, hips are just really really tight and still really congested.  Did 90 min of Yoga last night and what is normally pretty easy for me, I struggled big time.  Chest & Back tonight and will see how I feel tomorrow.

          Play the Game Hard!

Ugh what's with all the sickness going around.  Ya'll better get well or else just stay far far away from me Joking

Sprinkles - I think it depends on how you feel after long runs - if you feel it takes you some time to recover from them, maybe what Simon recommends is better.

            Amik - feel better!

D - yes, we do need your whips!

Josh - thanks. I don't know why but since I just finished my last "hard" week, I'm starting to get nervous.  90 minutes of yoga? wow, I don't think I've done more than 30. Yoga is harder than one would think.

It was the P90X version, the last 30 minutes is a lot of stretching so not too bad.  It was hard because I was so tight I couldn't do any of the poses that I normally can do

Onemile - You have done wonderful! I envy your training and look forward to your RR.

Sprinkles - You havent steered yourself wrong yet. Get Better!

Cbus - Do your best for what your health says is okay and its all good.

Mdawg - Be happy that you were not present to watch that guard from Louisville break his leg. I was freaking out at home and for once wishing I did not have high def television. So sad for him and I hope he recovers well.

6 miles recovery on the dreadmill for me tonight. I will use the dreadmill to keep me in check. I had a hard time reigning myself in during Saturday's 12.

The marathon will have temps starting at 40 and ending close to 70. Hopefully it will stay on the cooler end for a few hours. Either way I will not have processed all of my worries until at least mile 16 to 20 so we will just have to see how it goes.

I saw it on TV too.  It was sickening.  He's from Atlanta too.  Rumor has it he may be able to make it to the game despite having surgery, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Nice runs all and happy April Fools Day! I'm glad I don't live with Rollcast! Worst I got was my DH hiding in the dark garage tonight when I returned from my run. I spotted his khakis behind the lawn mower though so I got him by not jumping! Wink

8.4 miles on dead tired legs. Averaged like 12:30 pace? Pretty much just jogged a bit, walked a bit and repeated. Back to normal paces tomorrow. My coach is trying to kill me this week.

                    Smashy!!!

Totally crappy day today. Was walking down the stairs at work, and tripped. Fell about a half flight of stairs. Good news: I didn't die. Bad news: I tore my ACL. Went to the e-room, and the doc put me in one of those full leg braces. Have an emergency appointment with the specialist tomorrow to find out the full extent of the damage. Damn. First, the episode of overtraining. Second, this damn cold. Now this. Cannot catch a break. Not only am I out for the race, obviously, but it looks like I'm out for at least 6-12 months.
