Shamrock Running Club

The Shamrock Running Club is an energetic group of nearly 200 runners who have fun running as well as socializing! We’re a great resource for those starting out or looking for a group to train with for any distance, be it a 5K, marathon or beyond. Also, you’ll find club members regularly participating and competing in a broad range of regional and national events.

The club organizes 3 workouts and a couple of walks per week, year round! The weekly events include a Tuesday track session with an experienced coach, a 5 mile tempo/fun run on Thursday night, and long runs on Saturday morning. We also organize three 5 Mile Races, New Years Day, Joan’s Jaunt and our Step Out for Hospice, that will keep you running and socializing throughout the year!

The club was founded by Bill Feeney in 2001. We welcome new members of ALL abilities including walkers. We have a diverse group of new and experienced runners ranging in age from 15 to 69 and abilities. Whether you just started running or are a competitive runner, you’ll be sure to have company in the club.

Give Bill a call (617-281-4314) for more information or feel free to just show up at the weekly workouts or Thursday night runs, we love to see new faces! The Thursday night runs are always followed by a social cool down and “hydration" at the Irish American Club. We meet at 6:30 PM every Thursday at the fire station parking lot across from the Woburn Irish American Club.
