	Good luck with the home hunting, Amy. K, our youth pastor's husband went to school in or around LA and actually had a college class where they trained for and ran the LA Marathon for college credits. Only in California.

	Hey, GVSU has a wine-tasting class...no joke! It's actually supposed to be a REALLY good class. I think it's only 1 or 2 credits. If gas prices weren't so crazy I'd love to take that.

Never managed to fit foods of the world into the schedule though. (All 3 classes were hard to get into.)

	I did take a "Cultural Guide to L.A." class in college. It was most definitely fluff. The whole concept of culture in a city where pretty much anything built before 1980 is given historical landmark status is hilarious to me. As I remember, we had one session dedicated to roadside architecture. Stuff like this:

Unfortunately, I think the fact that I usually root for ND over USC nullifies it. MTA: Though that's not an anti-USC thing. With that whole B(C)S thing, you want your opponents to do well -- it boosts your strength of schedule. So it's purely a self-serving thing to want ND to do well (other than when we play them). Now that I think about it, I dislike ND much more than I do USC. So there's that.
