The big poker craze came after my gambling years, so I never really considered it an option went I went to casinos. Kind of sorry I missed it. |

Last summer was my first time in Vegas although I have been to gambling boats in the past. I had played Hold 'Em online and went to law school with guys who played in tournaments.
When I saw that game out there I couldn't resist. At a $10 table you can win up to about $75 a hand if you bet all the way through the turn and river.
I think the minimum bet was $10 to get your hole cards, then another $10 to see the flop. You could check the turn and the river without fear of someone raising because you only played against the dealer's hand. But you could bet on each card up to 2 or 3 times your ante if I remember correctly.
They also had a bonus where you put in a bet before the hole cards were dealt and if you got a certain combination of hole cards you got paid a bonus depending on the odds. I would randomly put in a $5 chip every three hands or so.
I did draw pocket aces on a $5 chip and it paid $150.

My husband used to say we needed a possession arrow in the bedroom to determine who was on top. 
Now we just do a jump ball. |
