I'm looking forward to Nobel Canyon 50k this Saturday and a PCT 50 miler on Nov. 21. I might run the High Desert 50k on Dec. 6 also. Anyone out there running in Southern California?

Trails!!  I'll be running Desert High 50k in December.  We'll finally get to meet.  I ran the 30k there last year.  Have you run either one before?

Yep, have did a number of ultra races, doing the SNER in Sacramento next Saturday but only the 52mile(double marathon) race.  Need to be home Sat night.

I have ran the PCT 50 a couple of times as well as many other races in that area(SD100, Lost Boys, Smugglers, etc)..  The first PCT 50 I ran (a number of years back) the RD drew a line in the dirt, asked of we were ready, she said 'GO' and everyone(all ~25-30 of us) just stood around.  She reminded us the clock was running so we got started.  I think that year it was in August, by late afternoon it had cooled to the low 100s.  Supposedly the turn-around was to far because, "a few extra miles never hurt anyone"

I look forward to seeing you two at those races. I did the High Desert last year (30k). I haven't decided whether to do the 30 or 50k yet. I liked the course. The aid stations were great and the I enjoyed hanging out with other runners at the spaghetti feed the night before.  I did last years San Diego 50 (PCT 50 got moved) May be I'll see you ladnierd at next years PCT or the one in November.

Trails - I bet we saw each other at Desert High last year and didn't know it.   My favorite station was the one with all the Christmas decorations and it was a bunch of men hanging out.  Priceless!

I may have to look into the SNER for in another year or two.

Yes! That was great. They really seemed to have fun at that aid station. See you there.
