True had left for a 12-mile run on Tuesday morning at about 10 a.m. with a water bottle and wearing running shorts, a T-shirt and running shoes

When did he start wearing shoes???

Should it surprise us that an ultrarunner known for disappearing into the wilderness running days at a time disappeared on a run?

Scrapping that previous comment.  Another article says he left his dog behind.  Most people don't just leave the dog not taken care of.  Kids, yes.  Dog, no.

I laughed at this and then felt bad.  This is not a good sign.  (the dog, not feeling bad that I laughed. Well maybe that too.)

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

He was wearing running shoes when I last saw him!

I don't have a good feeling about this at all.

If he was only wearing a t-shirt and shorts that is going to be a very big problem at night.  The temps really drop there.

I really really hope this turns out well.  But I am worried.

I lost a good friend this week.  I don't want any more bad news.

Very sad. Oddly enough, I just finally got around to reading Born to Run, and finished it a few days ago.

                          I put it under there.
