So we can't use this for a forum title I guess.... I was seriously planning to do so.

As long as it's without attribution...

What a day.  Hot hot hot.  Krar and Harrison made flagstaff proud.  I got so dehydrated I was in blankets shivering at devil's thumb.  After a long recovery finally got back to it and finished in 28.

Congratulations. It was BRUTAL out there. Way to get it done.

Re Krar, yes, hard to believe this was his first 100. Pretty amazing performance.

        At finish

        Olson 15:17:27

        Krar 15:22:05

Reality ~ Olsen ran 6:30 pace the last 1.3 miles and Krar 8:31 ... I think someone might have been able to catch Olson, but they were not going to pass him or out kick him.

So Krar finished four and a half minutes back, after Olson ran the last 1.3 at 6:30 pace (and by the way about the first .4 of that is seriously uphill) -- I wonder if they might have been within sight heading up to Robie Point?

Congratulations. It was BRUTAL out there. Way to get it done.

          +1

And it looks like Krar has a top 10 performance!

Maybe - At least I am sure Olson had the intel at each aide station at how far ahead we was and it would have been obvious Krar was closing the gap

The 2nd to last column  (8:14) is pace for section

2 minutes apart at Robbie Point ... No idea if just before Robbie they might have been even a little closer ... or if leaving Robbie that Olson had an OMG moment where it was time to put the pedal to the metal and crush any thoughts / hopes / dreams Krar might have had at catching Olson.

Olson: Yeah, that’s all you need to know. When I crossed the river, I tried to move through there really quickly and started climbing. On the climb four minutes later—I wasn’t up very far—I heard cheering. I was like, Oh man, they’re closer than I thought! I needed that because that lit a fire under the can. I climbed up really hard there. I’ve always loved the climb to Green Gate. I really push it there. Then it was just gritting your teeth and giving it. Running, I love it and it’s a great experience, but there’s definitely pain sometimes… just a tiny bit.
