US did very well.  Amy Sproston won the women's race (7:34), Arbosgast 4th, Pam Smith 5th.  Women't team won overall title.

    Men's:  Riddle 5th, Olson 7th, Wardian 8th, Binder 10th.  Men's team second overall

    Not sure how others finished

With current qualifying rules - This will make it tougher to make the team for people

Top 10 auto qualifies for next year.  I would rather see it maxed out at 3 (The scoreres)

Wardian - That is a bit disappointing - With all the racing he does - It has to impact his WC race

Way to go US women and men!

          2. Japan - 23:04:02  Corrected results not that close 23:44:02
          3. Russia - 23:55:15

Talk about close for 1st and 2nd and also close for the individual women's race

I've no place posting in this group (as I've not run an ultra in a year) but I noticed my college room mate finished 55th this year. Cool.

After winning the World Championship, Amy Sproston was named the USATF athlete of the week.

Letsrun had this to say about the race and award:
