Rocky Raccoon Registration (Read 65 times)

jackfrost9p

This might be a dumb question, but I was wondering when the Rocky Raccoon 100 registration typically opens up. I could not find any information on the website or elsewhere. I have known about this race for awhile, but never considered running it until my brother moved to College Station, about 50 miles away.

    Thanks!

It opened at the end of May last year.  However, next year the 100 mile race will be a USATF championship, so there's a chance they're going to have the 50 and 100-mile races on different weekends.  I'm sure Joe Prusaitis is weighing all the options before he opens up registration.

Joe just posted on the Tejas Trails FB site that it will open in the May/June timeframe.

it looks like the races are split. 100 mile the first saturady of feb, and 50 Mile the next weekend.

That should mean much less pressure on it filling early. He can use the entire permitted number on each weekend, instead of combined.
