Anyone in the Lotteries on Sunday?
I've got 2 tickets in the huge "never" group. 619 folks vying for 35 spots. Or in another way, to start my 2 tickets will be in the bucket with the 1801 others (yes I put the list into Excel and summed them up).
I'm not holding out too much hope... but hey stranger things have happened.
tbd.
I've got 5 tickets in the "everyone else" group. Looks like my odds are about 50/50.
Good luck on Sunday!!
Not me... I guess I should have thrown my name in. Not that I really want to run it in 2013, but it would get the ball rolling on that 2^N tickets thing. Too late now.

What do you think of the Anna Frost essay for entry without completing the bona fide qualifying standards?
I haven't seen it, do you have a link?
I *think*, but am not positive, that the only person they have ever admitted w/o a qualifying race (ie, using their Qualifying Standard III) is Gerry Roach, of mountaineering fame.
I think she is great runner but she's never done anything over 100k, right?

Reading the comments, it sounds like they've let others besides Gerry qualify that way. (It is a legitimate way, in the rules, to qualify, I just didn't realize the BoD used it that often)
You'll ruin your knees!
Get in or not, there is no hope!
Good luck...

Hi Lynn, How's it going? See you at DN.
I hear ya... but if you get in it's more like panic.
As expected, didn't get thru the "never" lottery. Anyone know the "official whinning period" to whine about how low the odds were for the "never" category?
A friend of mine got in thru the "everyone else", so it looks like I'll be pacing at HR again next summer.
Sorry you didn't get in, Sandy.
