Banshee, way to go!  Nice RR.  You're going to do great at BR.

It's always funny how a change in wind direction or a hint of the sunrise can boost your spirits and push you on.

A little late to this party, but wanted to congratulate you on the great race. As much as the physical prowess, be proud of the emotional strength shown in persevering through the cold, windy, dark, and lonely conditions.

In case you're wondering who this stalking moose may be, I'm the kinda old/fat/slow guy who shared several laps of the course with you. Amazingly, we happened to be sharing the same pace at that particular point.

I have no doubt you'll do great at BR100. Should you have a need for a totally inexperienced crew person or pacer, feel free to drop me a PM.

Pretty sure I never walked with a fat guy and pretty much every guy was older than me. But I think I know who you are! I would love to see you at BR100! And thanks for coming to stalk me. Wink

Thought that might be enough clues to identify me.   Wink   Will send you a PM with some more direct contact information.

Great RR!  I like reading it because there will be several folks doing the fall NC-24 and this helps me get my mind wrapped around the environment I will be facing when I go there.  Lakefront can be pretty, but it can also be windy.

Any estimate on how many miles you could have done if the weather had been more ideal?

I'd like to think I could have hit 100 but really I don't know. If it had been warmer maybe I would have over heated? If the wind had calmed down maybe I would have pushed too hard and blown up? Maybe I would have had stomach issues? Maybe I would have gotten dehydrated? there's just no way to know but now I know I can do 100. It's just a matter of if I can do it in under 30 hours.
