      James is a character

He is loudly intense - But also loudly supportive of other runners in a race

He does not fit the mold of the CO Mountain gang

He could hit a 24 out of the park here this year

But will need ot back off the early pace a little

Long dead ... But my stench lingers !

Nice insight.  Any story about an "ordinary" person doing extraordinary things is going to get my attention.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting read.

In the last year I dropped from 210 to 165 and back up to 205. Im currently 195 and going back down. I think 170-175 would be ideal for me. Before dropping briefly last year I was in the 195-210 range forever.

I think I'm gonna be hooked on the ultras. Im never going to be real fast..and I really enjoyed nearly every moment on the track at NC24. I think mentally, I have the makeup for it. While I didnt do as many miles, I pushed myself about as hard as I think I could have and was able to force myself back out after the chills, and everything. I need to get the fitness back up so I can keep up a steady run much longer.

                  After me.

I was at 165 for leadville this year - lightest in in 20 years.  But my body prefers 170-175.  Guessing I am 170 or so now but will try to drop that 5 #s again before Ozark - I think that made a big difference but I can't maintain that all the time without being grumpy and irritable. That and I like food too much.
