Snow + Hills + Trails. Looks kinda hard.
Hawk and I (and another coworker) are tentatively planning on Gnaw Bone. As expected though, I was laid off work last week. It will mean lots of hours working in a factory during the week, and working weekends as a part time police officer. If I can keep mileage up I still plan to go.
Gnawbone may be just what the doctor ordered. DWD folks put on good races too.
It's a little ways from Scottsdale (you wouldn't want to run an ultra there in late May anyway), but Jemez is supposed to be great:

Grand Canyon is probably way too hot by then too (I did a R2R2R on May 12th one year and it was 113F)... but if they get a cool spell, it's so worth the drive.
Yeah, I saw that. It looks awesome. I love the Jemez mountains. That is about 10 hours away, though...
