Thursday after a grocery run I ran 60 minutes on the TM. The foot still gets cranky sometimes. I had a great week otherwise.

Today will either be cardio or TM. I may wait a day to add the TM. I have notes to remember to take the tylenol.

      Happy runs, All! :::HUGS:::

      Where is the "any" key?

Our great weather is over.  It was 63(!) Wed and 50's and cloudy yesterday. Loved it. We scouted the trail Wed for our club. 4.6 miles.  The trail was cleared but there were many, many trees down along the first 1/2 mile.  It's pretty flat for N Ga, so I did it regularly 4-5 yrs ago. I didn't remember that. Googled and found out a tornado went thru and closed park for a while in June 2013.  Friend still liked it and group will hike it in feb.  With unpredictable weather, we shoot for easy ones.

Yesterday, I hiked the steep (Lisa, think Becky's Bluff) short waterfall trail with her then ran another short trail. Great days. Pouring rain now.

Sue, I haven't done any of Bonnie' quilts and just got interested in her after seeing a gorgeous blue Ridge Beauty raffle quilt last spring. . I like the ones with a solid center/star or sashing posted on quiltville's Facebook page. Hers was pretty busy.  Loved Celtic solstice last year.

Tessa, Bonnie's specialty is scrap quilts and a system to organize them.

Tessa and Margaret, that's a great pic! It sounds like you had a good meal, too.

Laura, I'm surprised the schools hadn't looked for the booster. I wonder if someone didn't forget to enter it in the data base. Great consistency as usual!

judy, I'm surprised you aren't on an anti inflammatory for your foot. I'm glad the Tylenol works.

carol, be careful going to and at Snowman! It sounds like it'll be a pretty run.

demaris, when is your hubby's biopsy? Great consistency from you, too.

Karen, it's pretty exciting that you're moving soon.  I wonder if Texas still has all the wild flowers along the roads in the spring.  Gorgeous big fields of them.

Marjorie, I hope none of your staff gets measles.  My niece didn't have her son immunized and there was no reasoning with her.  She thought they were dangerous, but has always been a bit of a rebel.

Hi to everyone else.  I did this on my phone. My power cord connection on laptop is loose and I'll take it in today. Plan today-core at gym then night at my mom's.

TGIF!  Swam this morning.  Wink  BF is still a sickie.  Head cold.  He stayed home again today.

            Tessa and Marjorie--cute pic!

Camille--agree--we were disappointed w Bonnie Hunter's current project--too busy.  I will assemble the blocks differently.  Needs some calm space.  If I ever have time to sew!

            Y'all have a great day!

Gatsby and Tessa, great picture yesterday. Thanks for sharing.

Dentist this morning, work today, run this evening. We have weather coming in tonight that is supposed to last most of tomorrow (freezing rain or ice pellets or snow, depending on which forecast you check), so my plan is Pilates (where she has promised torture since it's been 3 weeks) and a bike ride on the trainer. Longish run on  Sunday.

Carol, have a great race/supported long run this weekend!

camille, I think they do still have fields of bluebells, at least. My running friend that is already down there forwarded me information on a race where they talk running surrounded by them. And finish with ice cream. Unfortunately I will be up here that weekend. Sounds like you took advantage of the good weather with a good bit of hiking and trail scouting.

Marjorie, how annoying on the measles. I'm with Ginny and others, why don't people vaccinate??? The anti-vax crowd just amazes me, and not in a good way.

Good morning Lisa, Judy, Susan. And hi to those I missed yesterday. I can't believe it's 10:00 already, guess I better get some more work done. Yesterday was one conference call after another, so I sort of felt like I got a lot accomplished (I was delegating at the wazoo), but sort of felt like I was neglecting all kinds of things.

They don't vaccinate because of that idiot who published a (thoroughly discredited) study that purported to link the MMR vaccine with a higher incidence of autism, and then that stupid, thoughtless, blaming, wannabe celebrity Jenny McCarthy who told the talk shows that vaccines were to blame for her son's autism -- my guess is that she couldn't accept that the causes of autism (plural deliberate) are complicated and include genetics, fetal influences, and probably some other factors we don't know about and so had to blame someone and vaccines were an easy target.

Also they can't always afford the vaccines plus the office visits and the county health department is crowded and inconvenient and may not have a reliable supply of vaccines. Also the states often make it all too easy not to vaccinate your kids by allowing "personal belief exemptions". When I took DS to register for HS his senior year we showed up at the appointed time, and having read the material from the school I had his immunization records. Long lines. Many parents had not read that or had missed that bit of information and were told that they needed to go get the kid's immunization records and come back and stand in line again -- or if they signed this form stating that they wanted to exempt their child from vaccination due to personal beliefs they could go ahead and get their child's schedule and schoolbooks and not have to come back again. Guess which option most of them chose. I wonder how many schools do the same thing.

I also wonder if I am actually immune to measles. I had measles when I was five years old. Immunity for many diseases diminishes over time.

Run to live; live to run

3.6. I'm working on pace so cutting some miles as I work on this.

Great pic of Tessa and Margaret

the antivaccine thing floors me too. I cannot imagine not doing it. I had a titer when I was in College. I think I had a booster then. Need to see about getting another. With my travels may be a good idea

Tessa oh and you forgot her son actually does not even have autism. It turns out to be something different. Font remember what he actually has

LKaren how are you feeling?  House almost done, yes?

                  i will be back later.

Morning! I have an RD today (say what?)  Ended up with 12 total (doubles) yesterday and Pilates.  Pretty good day.

Update on hubby:  We found a urologist and I already forgot his appointment day but he has an appointment! (Since he is a doctor, he scheduled all tests with his clinic and now needs to find the specialist).

Lisa, frills are our thing, eh?

Judy, ugh at the foot.  You are a trooper doing all your workouts around it.

Camille, I guess you sent the nice weather to us.  Looking forward to running in the 60s this weekend.

                    Sue, morning!  Nice swim.

Karen, I cannot say enjoy the dentist....

                    Tessa, totally agree.

Marjorie, nice job on the faster miles.

Run to live; live to run

I'm by no means fast. Ha. I just want a bit faster and consistency

I'm in for frills Lisa. I'm a girly girl

judy hope that pesky foot behaves

Camille we are still doing ok with temps but rain today and tomorrow. Sigh.  Still mild compared to last year. I'm happy with shorts and short sleeve tech

Tessa did you get through mt washmore?  I thought of that today when I went up to get the sheets off the spare bed. DH did some loads earlier this week but hadn't done the sheets from our bed or upstairs. I had all my stuff from travel too. Wasn't too bad. When I get home I will have to put the sheets in the dryer

I went to Pilates over my lunch. She doesn't see me usually on Fridays but since I was gone all week I will take it. My punishment was the harder planks. D or Karen have you done those?  Reformer. Feet up on the bar and hands on the shoulder rests on the carriage. Then sliding the carriage out and pikeing back without falling off the damn bar. She hadn't made me do those in a while. We'd been doing progressive planks for months with taking off springs after each set down to no springs. Controlling the carriage on no springs is tough!  So instead of that since I'd gotten good she switched it up.

                      Sue is dbf feeling better?

She has not given me that torture yet, but she has been giving me a lot of planks lately, damn her!  I cannot not move the reformer, so she is usually there with her foot.

Not just no, but hell no. I can't even imagine doing that without falling and hurting something. She used to say "don't worry, I won't let you fall" when she'd have me do something and I'd give her that "you are insane if you think I can do that" look. Now that she's almost 8 months pregnant, I'm hoping she wants to keep herself and her baby out of the way of a potentially flying through the air Karen.

The first time she had me do it I thought I'd fall. Now im okay. Just means months since we did it. This is what looks like when out. Then pulling back to pike then back out.
