    RR2: ended up with a 10K today, 5k by myself btw clients at the gym, and another 5K with R this morning. it's a perfect fall day Smile

    zorbs: how's your shin pain today? hmm, I wonder if DH's leg pain has less to do with the shoes and is tied to something else? race this weekend is your A race, right? ugh on the pee all over Dee Dee! hope your coffee date is fun! yes, my clients have all said they will transfer over to the studio with me. The place I work doesn't have a non-compete contract, which is great!

    Bermy: early post today! hope your recovery run went well. when's your next race? I normally wake up at 6am too, though lately it's been 4:30 because of teaching bootcamps and the extra PT clients. I do like the quiet early morning time to sit and sip coffee. I don't have any advice about the Mirena, as I've never had one (or even been on BCP's). I hope it goes as well as possible for you! R LOVES puddle jumping- so much fun!

    Cx2- great job with the running this week! hooray for C pooping, hope it eases the nighttime transition a bit better for you guys. boo on the meeting! i'm hoping to be done by the end of October with all of my clients.

    Ernie- hope the LR goes well! I've never raced 10 miles. I have done a 15K and really like that distance. awww, poor S! hope she takes a really good nap today. bummer on the new community center! hoping to be done by the end of this month.

    CA- enjoy your lunchtime run! I used to love getting out at lunch for the hour just to clear my head! glad that M learned her lesson yesterday. oh no on the biting!!! yay for mom making dinner!

    Becky- hope the TM run goes well today. boo on the meltdown, that stinks. and yes, I think a spa day is definitely in order. yes, same recipe as corn bread, but I just bake them in muffin tins instead.

    arm- hope the weather holds for the weekend runs! yay for taper!!! ugh, 4 hrs in the car, hope L is good for you! I hope DD's ear is better soon. have fun at your parents house! I do have a weather shield, but it's all torn up from last winter, I really need to replace it.

    spike- I LOVE to run in new places! it's the best way to see the town i'm visiting. I typically go out early morning, right after sunrise but before rush hr so I can scout out cool places to go see, restaurants to visit. you can always check mapmyrun for local routes, or check into a local running store to see if they have any places they recommend for you to run. skipping the hugfest sounds like a good idea, i'm definitely NOT a huggy type of person with coworkers. glad that your friends DH is doing better, enjoy the visit!

      Runnergirl- the place where I'm going is not picturesque, there is a prison near the indian casino where I'm staying and a lot of industrial areas because its close the Spokane International Airport. I could drive and run on the Centennial trail, but I've never gone running in Spokane by myself before, especially in the morning on a secluded trail. The thought kinda sketches me out.

        Spike: given that description, I'd opt for the hotel TM!

          Spike:  I normally ask the front desk.  If they say yes, runner friendly trails/park area then I go for it.  I often go running alone though so it doesn't bother me.  DH says I scare him sometimes in my bulletproof attitude - from the dude who went running solo in Baltimore....

            CA - can you believe I've never tried any of the foods on your dinner list besides potatoes and carrots?  And maybe apple crisp, but I don't like pie-type desserts.  I am wearing my CEP sleeves today and they don't give me sausage feet.

            becky - G conveniently is unavailable when B is having meltdowns on my watch.

            arm - the last pair of shoes DH got were "OK" as well, but LRS only had 2 pairs of neutral shoes in his size and he picked the better of the 2, I am 100% sure he hasn't found the perfect pair for him yet.  But it is his fault in a way, I told him to try them out on the TM and he did...for about 15 seconds and declared them to be fine.

            spike - I'd get a nice dinner of stuff that you don't get to eat at home and a bottle of wine and eat it lying in the hotel bed.  Then I'd go running but I agree, if it's that sketch, TM it is.

              18k long run done. The last 8k was crazy hilly so my legs are tired! I'm sure all the squats and lunges I did yesterday didn't help. DH took S to the park and tired her out good while i was gone. When I got home, they were snuggled on the couch, watching Blues Clues and eating grilled cheese sandwiches. Aw!

              ~~~~
              Bermy - I love when I'm up before everyone else, too! The IUD should go in pretty easily regardless of timing, since you've had a baby and the people at the women's hospital are probably pros with insertion and not bandits. On the other hand, I've never had an IUD but even getting a pap makes me feel like puking so I can see how it might be worth it to reschedule for the easiest possible insertion.
              cx2 - Yay for poop at daycare. Hopefully a new trend! If it was a really big meeting today, maybe you could just not show up and no one would notice Wink
              CA - I always feel like it gets dark early so suddenly. Like, one day it's light out until 9 pm and next thing you know, it's dark at 7. Your FR sounds YUMMY! Wow, my mother just had a very similar root canal situation - she had to get a major root canal done last week and it was really sore, and she was leaving for vacation in Barcelona days later. She ended up being fine, so hopefully your mom is, too!
              zorbs - A lot of companies love to insert very broad, long-term non-compete clauses in employment contracts but, FYI, they are very rarely enforceable against regular employees. If I lived in Toronto I would totally come run you in the last 5k. LOL, when you asked if the Elvis impersonator was there, I thought you were referring to my DH at first. But no, there was no Elvis in sight. The 10 mile race in in Whitby. I think the Angus Glen 10 miler is in the spring and the fall is the half and 5k. I do really like the Angus Glen races even though they are crazy hilly.
              becky - I'm glad DH was able to share the experience of C's meltdown with you Smile Boo to AF scheduled to appear during your race! Hopefully that bitch stays away until the race is done!
              arm - Hope the weather is good for you this weekend. Light snow would be pretty, but freezing rain is awful. I highly recommend getting a weather shield. Last winter, when S was still willing to sit in the stroller, I took her out in all kinds of awful weather and she was always warm and cozy under the weather shield.
              spike - I think once you arrive you'll get a pretty good idea of whether you want to be out running or not. The jail in itself wouldn't concern me, as the prisoners will be locked away inside and jail = lots of security. But if it's all industrial and sketchy otherwise, hotel TM is probably a good choice. Also love Zorbs's idea of ordering food and eating in bed. I love eating in bed in hotel rooms!
              5k - 20:46          10k - 41:27         10 mile - 1:15:32          Half marathon - 1:39:15
              Bad Ass Mother Runner
                RR - 10k done, and I ordered the crops Becky posted on FB AND my marathon shoes.
                Ernie - Nice job on the LR!  Weird on your mom having the same situation!  I'm sure she'll be fine, and it's not like they don't have dentists in NZ if she needed one.
                zorbs - I'm sure there are a ton of ordinary chinese things I've never had also!  I don't really care for any desserts, but my mom wants dessert and she's making it.  Glad you don't have sausage feet Smile
                spike - yeah I usually ask at the hotel, some even have little maps with routes printed out on them.  Boo on R being a biter!  I strangely would rather O be the bitee than the biter, so I just hope she doesn't pick up the bad habit.  I don't like a lot of women for that same reason also, so I'd probably rather go out with the dog lady also.
                arm - hope the drive goes smoothly, and that you don't get too much bad weather.
                becky - lol on skyping dh the meltdown.  Come on over for dinner!
