Wow Wednesday! (over 40) (Read 18 times)

Finally Wednesday has come. Kept thinking that yesterday was Wednesday.

5.1 miles yesterday. Doing something different today to give calf a rest.

Tessa-that does sound neat!! remind us ahead of time next year. I'd like to look for that here although midnight start....

Karen-ha! sometimes not hurting much is as good as it gets.

    Judy-yeah for no cough.

    Carol-blasting that body!

    Damaris-welcome back!

Ginny-maybe we can look at the weekend in July for coming down. when tigers play there.  would that work?

    Mighty Mouse

MyMomRuns, I'm already pushing for Thursday.

My very best wishes to all of you. You are such a great support group.

Tuesday the teeth were cleaned and I ran a good 35 minutes on the track. The last lap and a half I ran fast with a buddy. I’ve been working hard deep breathing like we learned in yoga. It feels so good to breathe that way (abdominally) while running.

Today I shall do a cardio at home since I am going to a lecture. It’s a talk about the Works Project Administration and their park efforts.

      Happy runs, All!  :::HUGS:::

      Where is the "any" key?

Lisa - Yeah for Wednesday!!!  Nice on the miles....agree with Karen's comment yesterday, love to see you posting running mileage again, like you were running all along!

Judy - Glad the teeth cleaning went good.  Seems like mine always ends with "I see an old filling that needs to be fixed"....Enjoy your lecture!

SDO yesterday for me.  I am volunteering for the upcoming "Week-end of races"  had a meeting last night.  It really is a fun week-end. Saturday is a 5/10k, Sunday is half/full marathon.  I am running the 5k with our women's health team.  Will be fun to volunteer on Sunday.

Hoping to get in a run after work.  My shoulders/arms are sore from my "blasting" Monday!!!

Afternoon, ladies!  Ended up shortening my run last night to 2 miles and heavy weights.  Today it's an SRD.

Happy Birthday, Lisa! Hope you have a great day!

Judy, sounds like a workout (mostly the cleaning).  Enjoy the cardio workout at home.

Carol, sounds like a great weekend.  Enjoy!

              Marjorie, nice 10.

Lisa, they already announced that they will do it again next year. I'm not sure if they will use the same venues, though. In North America they had California, Florida, Colorado, Saskatchewan, and Cancun. Nothing in the Midwest or Northeast.

                And happy birthday!

                Judy, enjoy the WPA talk!

Carol, that sounds like a busy weekend.

Marjorie, I am always impressed by your weekday mileage.

Damarais, afternoon? I suppose it is where you are!

4 this morning, since Sis didn't need to be taken to the airport after all (woo hoo). I will be heading over there in about 90 minutes. I surprised a coyote this morning in a vacant lot -- he was sniffing at a gopher hole and I don't know which of us was more startled when we saw each other. I can tell you he ran faster than I did, though.

Knee is healed, per the orthopedist. Yay! And I got my bib number for Fargo. They urged everyone to print the number and bring the printout to packet pickup. Why not save paper and look up the email on one's phone?

It is!  Although I would give anything to be on your coast.  I'll be in Santa Cruz next weekend so at least I'll get my feel of that!

Forgot to ask, how far is Surf City from you (Huntington Beach)?  We signed up for the Surf City Marathon (HM for hubby) in February.

Women of Tomorrow video This is video from the graduation luncheon that I went to yesterday. Since this is our first year mentoring in our school we have freshmen and sophomores only.  So cool to see these girls' reactions at the realization that they are graduating.  This is the first graduating class for Detroit program. Detroit and Miami only (founder is originally from Detroit). This Monday I plan on going over how to fill out an application for a job online with them.  Will talk through the process. doubtful that we'll have time for mock interviews but will put together something for them to bring home on interviews.

                      Hi ladies-

I got out for 7.5 miles this morning. Still not feeling great, but at least I got it done. I had book group this evening, so that was fun. I'm looking forward to our next book.

Tessa - that sounds like a neat race!
