Notes:
The average pace does not tell the story on this one....I classify this run as a SEMI FAIL! This was supposed to be a 14 mile run and for the first time ever I took two walk breaks during the final two hydration stops for about .2 miles each (pulled those 2 miles up to 12 min/mile pace). Everything started great on this run coming off a cutback week and back was feeling pretty good. First 4 to 5 miles were around 9:30 min/mile pace (testing out race pace). What I did not take into account was the fact of how humid it was at the start of the run (Fog equals super high humidity) and then it proceeded to get HOT very quickly with only a slight breeze here and there (DAMN Tropical weather systems impacting our weather). I was switching from 5 ounces of Cytomax every 2 miles to every 3 miles and based on conditions I do not think this was enough hydration. At mile 9 reaching for my bottle my body just said let's walk NOW. Started running again and at mile 11 I drank my last 5 ounces of Cytomax with another slight walk. Ran for the last mile thinking about 13 but my legs had been dead since mile 8 and I thought it was best to just stop. Not the most fun I've ever had.
