Workout: 2 x 3miles w/ one mile jog recovery, aiming for 5:30s. Warmup was 1.5 mi easy, probably should have done a bit more. I ran this down at Shelby Bottoms since I was doing it solo and don't have a Garmin and didn't really feel like circling the track endlessly. Got in a good mental space and decided not to stress about splits. Anyways, it went well.

Rep 1: 16:32 (5:43, 5:32, 5:17)

jog a mile: 7:45

Rep 2: 16:26 (5:33, 5:31, 5:22)

Effort felt consistent on these, which is why it's odd that the last miles were so quick, but that's definitely something to remember when racing at this effort. Too many times in the past, I try too hard to get that first mile right on pace, which would have screwed up the effort. Anyways, I was happy that I kinda rolled with it.

Legs felt really good -- no lactic, but could do better with breathing. Psyched about the last miles of each rep, nice to think that 5:20 pace is getting into the range of comfortable.
