| Notes: | Pretty good first run in new Mizuno Inspire 4s...I think the increased stability/stiffness will definitely take getting used to, though. Outer arches were a little tender (I think I may try a pair of my favorite insoles in them to see if that makes any difference), felt kinda "cloppy" and like I was fighting the shoe at times. Around 5 miles in I started feeling hot spots on each foot where there's a pretty aggressive seam running down the medial arch area. Don't think it will blister, but next time I need to apply Body Glide or Blister Shield powder.
Guess these things are all par for the course for a first run in a brand new shoe. I swear my troublesome right knee is feeling better, so perhaps it is worth some acclimatization to the new level of support. |
