Plan was to maintain around 9:00/mi pace for first lap (8.7 miles), and then run natural easy pace for 2nd lap, and then whatever happens on 3rd lap but try to not fall slower than 9:10/mi pace. For 4-hr, the target pace is 9:10/mi. Forgot exactly how many water stops did I use but I made use of most of them (4 to 5 per loop) due to eating gels without water in between. Used 4 packs of Clif Lemom-flavor gel.

Goals:

1) Smarter run, no death march at the end: Sort of accomplished, although no negative split.

2) PR: Done! PR by 8:39

3) Sub-4: Done! Barely!

Afterward my legs didn't feel as destroyed as the last marathon. I can walk up and down stairs without using hand rails (with difficulty). Still hurt a whole lot but it's certainly not as bad this time around.
