    Notes:COMMENTS: Left calf cramped up like a clenched fist at the first step, right at the starting line. Seriously considered dropping out. Jogged with ankle flexed for a while. Loosened up a little after 3/4 mile. Sore and tight and threatening whole race. Steep, rocky, dirt roads.
