About me: I live in a very small community in the Six Rivers National Forest.
As a newbie (I've just completed my first running year), I've run approx. 600 miles and entered several 5ks and one 5 miler. I am training for a 10k next and hopefully a HM. |
Why do I run: Because it is fun! It reduces stress and helps keep my weight down. Gives me alone time to pray and organize my thoughts. One more thing... I never enjoyed sports as a kid so discovering that I love to run was a totally unexpected JOY! |
Why I started running: I lost 70 lbs. in the last several years using an awesome website (www.sparkpeople.com). As I started an exercise program I was using a stair machine and experienced some over-use pain so switched to the TM and got hooked. Now I run outdoors in the most beautiful place in the world. |
