Drank LOTS of water the day before, and during the night (about 4:00 a.m.) drank a big glass of water. 3:30 I ate two pieces of toast. I had been awake since 2:00 and for some reason could not sleep.
Weather felt perfect, almost cold. Ran the first three miles on Riverfront since it was still dark, then met up with Amanda and we ran 8 miles together where we averaged a 9:00 min pace. We both ran with headpones but turned down enough that we could talk now and then. We had agreed to run a 9:30 pace, but both of us were feeling really good we went for it. I was so proud, I didn't get sick during the run and we'd have to stop. However after saying goodbye to Amanda I had to find the trees to pop a squat. |
