I'm the mother of 3 beautiful girls and a wife to a great husband. We have one dog, a bunny & a bird. I teach singing & dancing to children and we just opened a Subway Sandwich shop
Why do I run: 
Last year I started running with my friends. I always had it in the back of my mind to run a marathon but it was one of those out-of-this-world in the near never dream. We started running 3 miles, then 5 then we progressed until my dream became a reality. I ran two marathons last year. It was also during the time we were building our Subway and it gave me something to focus my energy on while the process of opening our Subway seemed like it was taking forever. Each time I ran the marathons, I get to 18 miles feeling great and then my body feel apart causing knee problems, hitting the wall, achilles and hip problems. I retired from marathon running and decided I would just run 1/2 marathons for the fun of it. I'm training to run the La Jolla CA one in April with my brother. With the weather ranging from 5 to 15 degrees in Utah, California weather will feel really good. Now I because I love the way my body looks and feels when I'm running, stress relief and for fun.
Why I started running: 
After gaining weight my senior year of high school, I taught aerobics for 18 years and loved it. Then my life got crazy raising kids, working and taking care of my home life, that aerobics no longer fit into my life. I started running on small runs and at first I hated it, then I liked the fact that I could just put on my shoes and go out in the fresh air.
