Why I started running:
I was fat. I was uncomfortable. I was old. I was unathletic. Started Weight Watchers. Started walking on the treadmill. Became too impatient to spend 90 freakin' minutes on the thing and started running to increase the bang for my buck, so to speak. Read RWOL Beginner's Forum constantly but never posted because hey, I'm shy. Became inordinately proud when I became able to run (without stopping!) half a mile...then a mile...then TWO miles...then 5K...well, Injury = Not running over 5K anymore. |
