| Notes: | More of a recovery run - lot sof intermittent aches / pains in legs (calves) and left foot (arch just behind ball of foot). Major HTFU effort (8/10) to push through, ignore pain, focus on something else like form or the houses around me. Never had a hard time with breathing / aerobic capacity, and could have carried on a conversation, so aerobically an easy run. Occurred to me near 2M that the reason my pace was very slow was because I never ran yesterday and I was working out all the kinks from the race and the previous day's speedwork, so this was really a recovery run - which is exactly where my pace ended up. Guess there is something to this "running by feel" thing!
MTA: Noticing also after entering heart rate that my heart rate never got up very high. Just another sign that my body (other than my calves, ankles, and feet) was not working very hard on this run. Perhaps tomorrow will be better. |
