Endurance Sports 5k/10k Snow Shoe & Trail Run - Muskegon

Word to the wise: when the race director tells you that running in snow shoes is a really good idea, LISTEN TO HIM. Shit fire, this one HURT. But it was so incredible that I'll be back again next year. Great race, awesome people and a BRUTAL 5k course that my dumbass got to run twice. I can honestly say that this entire run hurt more than the last mile and a half of the Detroit HM. To put it into perspective, the first mile was on groomed, flat trail and I hit the mile mark at 7:45...and finished the first loop in 41 minutes. Yeah, this trail was a real bastard.

ZZ was right, you'd have to be nuts and/or a masochist to run this thing in the dead of winter. Well, color me crazy.

What is it about running that makes trying to kill yourself so much fun?!?!?!?
