About me:  I teach philosophy at a medium-sized University in the upper-Midwest. Why do I run:  Running reminds me of my evolutionary past (how my body and this planet are so perfectly matched), and that makes me feel at home in the cosmos, united with the natural world (a la Carl Sagan). Why I started running:  I lost a bet: I didn't think I would stick with running, and my running partner thought I would. She won (again). I guess I'm buying the beer.
