About me:  Love to run, read, laugh, hike, canoe and above all spend time with my guys---husband of 17 years and 12 yr. old son. I was born in Zurich, Switzerland but grew up in Syracuse, NY---hence my handle---C (Central) NYrunner. Why do I run:  The freedom of being outside and the inner competition drives me most. I have run 32 marathons since 1987. Running gives me confidence, solace and joy. Why I started running:  A local running coach encouraged a group of us to enter a race at a city track when I was 12 years old and I never stopped. I loved it then and love it still--- 32 years later. I was also blessed with fabulous coaches in high school and in college.
