About me:
I am a 39 year old, single mother of 3 wonderful and beautiful daughters. I like to coach my kids in softball and have to alternate which daughter I coach each year because of the age differences (17, 13 and the newest edition is now 16 months). I enjoy watching NASCAR and both college football and the NFL. I absolutely love to play Fantasy Football. I am very competitive by nature, but I'm not a sore loser :)
Why do I run:
I run because I want to continue to lose weight in order to maintain good health and be around to raise my girls and hopefully get to be a part of their families when the get through with college and start them. I run because it makes me feel good in general. Somedays I run just because.
Why I started running:
Well, I actually had no intention of running. Nope, "I DON'T RUN!" is exactly what I told my boss back in May 2007 when he saw me on the treadmill in our office gym and he said "You will get tired of walking within a month and be running." I was certain he was crazy, I mean seriously. I had no problems with walking, biking or the stairmaster... but running, there is no way! Well, just like he said, within about a month I was tiring of walking. It just wasn't getting it for me any more. So I added the elliptical machine to the routine. I worked up to 30 minutes on it in only a matter of a couple of weeks. Then I started thinking, if I can do this machine, why can't I run? I established a short route of only 2 miles and started do it a couple times a week. It was hard at first, but now not so much. I still can't run up hills, but my distance keeps improving every day and that makes me happy.
