About me:  I love running (pretty odd considering this is a running site!!). I am a single mum of 4 and my kids are great but keep me very busy. I like reading anything from Dean Koontz & Lee Child, to chick novels (yes, I know...two very different genres). Why do I run:  I feel good doing it...the satisfaction from doing a long run when you weren't sure you could is just amazing. The feeling beats that of any drug. And on a long run by myself, I'm only competing against myself Why I started running:  I started running just over a year ago although I can't really say why. I wasn't able to run any more than 50 metres at the start but now I'm training for at least 3 half marathons this year....assuming my old bod can stay injury free.
