About me:  Fluent in Japanese, recently returned from a 6 year assignment in Tokyo. Born and raised in Hawaii, but now a naturalized midwesterner. Took 13 years to run my 2nd marathon (Mardi Gras '07) , but will do my 3rd and 4th in 2008. Why do I run:  Software requires lots of sitting, so running is a great way to keep my sanity. Prefer long runs to church services as well. Why I started running:  I had many college friends on the X country team, but mostly did a few pokey miles in college. After graduation, I decided to take it up a bit more seriously, running Indy 1/2 marathon and then Chicago Marathon. All this while my X country friends were discovering fried foods and golf.
