About me:
I began running in 1977 in Jr. High School. Did the college running thing, and continued througout. I've logged over 66,000 miles, and can still say my knees feel great! I coach a fantastic group of high school cross country runners which remind me of how great it is to still be a runner.
Why do I run:
I run for the health benefits, the challenge it offers, the glory, the feel of the wind in your face, the feeling you get when you pass a hiker who's been on the trail all day, and you've just reached the half way point of your out and back trail run.
Why I started running:
I started running because I found it was refreshing. Mainly it was refreshing because I found I could do it without feeling bad. It actually felt quite nice. I found that people seemed to admire those who ran, because for most it was deemed a punishment for screwing up in thier sport.
